Log-in working now, it just distorts the page I'm sending the user to. I've tried moving the INCLUDE statement around in the top of the page, but it still distorts the page. I would also like to take the Update Profile and Request Password off the LOGIN screen. I have a form that the user can use to request the password from. I don't want users to update their profile. They can email me. I've learned you can not just edit the login.php file and delete the Request and Password Link buttons. That was what was causing my Login to take me to 404 error pages. Any help with these two problems would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep reading the forums and see if anyone else has run into these problems and how to fix them. If you have time, please take a look and see if you can help.

Hi

I've just purchased the Password Protect Enhanced to protect a directory that contains an OsCommerce store in it as you stated on your site that directories could be protected and I didn't want to use htaccess and wanted to have a login in form as part of the home page of the site.

When I ran the install file I received an message as follows:-

0: Table 'configuration' already exists

This has happened as OsCommerce has quite an extensive database which includes a configuaration table.

What I want to do with the site is to enable customers to be given a password based on their company name and postcode and to then log into the site (I hope to use this information later to automatically input their delivery address into the relevant fields). Each company is likely to have several customers making orders so that we can then make deliveries all in one go.

I have tried another product to do this and kept on coming up with errors and the store is template based and it was impossible to work out where to place the code to enable visitors access or not depending on whether they had logged in.

I would appreciate any help with this,

Mark Warren

I have just set up the form 2 mail on http://www.brunodrivingacademyinc.ca/register.htm and it's not going so well.

I have got it to work before, and I didn't really do anything at all. I know it works when it goes to the success page instead of the "Thank you for submitting. We will respond soon!" page.

The problem is that it doesn't send out the emails. I have like I said, got it to send out emails before, but it doesn't now, and I have no idea why. I keep trying to replace the form-2-mail file with the original, and I have re-set up the hidden files on the register page but I am just getting no where.

I would really appreciate it if any one could help me.

Here is the script I am using; if you need to see my other form, the register.htm let me know!

Yesterday I tried the Password Protest free version. Worked nicely, so today I bought the enhanced version and uploaded it all fine. The index.php page I created has a drop-down menu on it. When I access it on your Free version, the drop down menu works normally. When I access the index on the Paid PPE version, the top category of the menu bar shows, but none of the drop downs work or even show.
I tried this on Mozilla and both PP versions show the drop down menu fine.
Is there something different between your two versions that affects E.I.7 and something I can fix easily?
Thanks.

Quick question,

I want to position the error message displayed after an unsuccessful login to right above the my form.

Right now the "login_form" page is really an entire page with the login form coded into it. I've noticed by developing it this way means that the system will continue to treat the login_form page as a form and not an entire page like I have now. Thus, displaying the error messages above the entire webpage and before any script/css declarations...which, is obviously bad (IE7 doesn't even render styles because of this).

Is there anyway I can display the error in a custom place?

I can send you an email the login page upon request.

However, I think the basic solution would be nice to post to others once we solve the issue (error display/handing is often changed).

Thanks!
